Healing Focus: Neck, Shoulders & Upper Back

Most of the things that we do on a daily basis, such as looking at our cell phone, computer work, driving, cooking and cleaning, tend to strain the neck, round the shoulders forward and create bad posture. Yoga offers a bountiful array of methods to relieve neck, shoulder and upper back issues, as well as ways to strengthen neck, thoracic spine, shoulders and core muscles. The mind/body connection is also a very important aspect of neck, shoulder and upper back issues. In this workshop you will learn easy ways to relieve tension in the neck, shoulders and upper back as well as ways to stretch and strengthen those areas. We will also explore how our emotions and feelings can affect the upper body. You will leave this workshop with ways to be more mindful and aware of your daily posture. You will create your own tool box of remedies to unravel tension and pain in your neck, shoulders and upper back.
