Join Poep Sa Frank Jude for an entertaining and informative journey into the life of the Buddha; noting what the mythic story as well as what we know of the historical Buddha has to tell us about our journey as yoga-practitioners. In the pivotal moments of his life, we can see a mirror into our lives and become more aware of our motivations and purposes for practice. Saturday, June 8th from 12:30 – 2:30: The Three-Fold Training
The Buddha’s “Noble Eight-Fold Path” which foreshadows Patanjali’s “Eightfold Yoga” is divided into three trainings: sila (ethics), samadhi (meditation) and prajña (wisdom). In this lecture, Poep Sa will unpack the elements of each of these three trainings not merely as doctrine but in the spirit they were created: as trainings they are things we can do.
