This course will help yoga teachers and students alike learn anatomy in a holistic, relational, and practical way. CEUs available.

This yoga anatomy course includes lecture, slides, demonstrations and Q & A.

-Understand basic anatomic positions
-Be able to identify the 10 Body Systems and their basic function
Learn major muscle groups, attachments, and insertion sites and normal function
-Become a better student and yoga instructor by deepening your knowledge about the body

About the Instructor
Aneela Cox, MD She is currently pursing the Integrative Medicine fellowship through the Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine to provide a comprehensive approach to medical care for her patients. Aneela believes that through the practice of yoga, people can realize their best Self.

She began her journey in understanding the Mind-Body connection through martial arts in Madison, WI. During her time in Madison, she discovered the power of yoga in opening up the heart and has been an avid practitioner of yoga since then. She had the opportunity to further her practice in various styles including Hatha, Anusara, and Restorative Yoga at Rising Sun Yoga in Buffalo, NY while completing her medical training at SUNY Buffalo. She completed her 200 hour yoga teacher training at Asheville Yoga Center in North Carolina. She aims to use a heart-centered approach to bring physical, emotional, spiritual alignment to bring the utmost healing.
