jimJim’s practice grew out of a desire to keep active and stay warm through the long, cold winters in upstate New York. Jim moved to the desert in 1983. With a practice anchored in the breath, Jim strives to deliver a class that allows students to learn and maximize what they can get from a pose while supporting them in cultivating a practice that serves their own bodies and needs. Through individualized attention and instruction, his classes help students embrace their potential and limits, through proper alignment, modifications and when appropriate, with props and gentle hands-on adjustments. Jim’s 200-hour teacher certification is with Integrative Yoga Therapy.
